QUESTION: " Papadopoulos told Trump he was acting as a Russian intermediary " Does this mean

... Trump is complicit in some way with the conspiracy or something similar?

From - https://twitter.com/SethAbramson

30/ The indictment says the second major Russian attack on Clinton occurred less than a week after Papadopoulos told Trump he was acting as a Russian intermediary and—per accounts of those at the meeting—Trump was engaged and interested. It appears that after the second attack...

I'm thinking if Trump ... KNEW ... about what was happening with the Russians and went along with it even if he didn't conspire himself then he's still LEGALLY part of the crime.

Thx in advance for any input

Yep. He could not keep any information to himself and just let things play out and act surprised. Freethinker65 Jul 2018 #7
I'd guess the "...was engaged and interested" part would meet the criteria. calimary Jul 2018 #10

he's guilty of the conspiracy as well.

I'm thinking if we get to the whole truth on this incident, Trump himself will likely have coordinated it directly with Putin. He is known in every other aspect of his business as being a micro-manager. Why would he be different for this one thing that was so important?

If it was “who would like to foster better anti-terrorism back-channels” then no.

If it was “who would like to help you win the election with hacked emails”? Yes

I'm not an expert or a lawyer, though.

It is pretty neat that this comes the day AFTER that stunt hearing yesterday. Nobody's gonna be talking about that anymore, now that THIS has happened. This is gonna dominate the discourse now. THIS wipes yesterday's uproar off the top of the headlines.

NOW, we watch. What kind of distraction is trump going to try to deflect attention from this? Or muddy the waters here? Or try to confuse the issue?
