General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsChuck Todd (!) is making some pretty startling statements.
He thinks the Russians were coordinating with someone with political and media expertise.
Rosenstein's comment about the need for bipartisanship he thinks was not about what happened yesterday, but revelations that are coming and will require political courage by Republicans.
He said that while he does not like to make comparisons with the McCarthy hearings, yesterday's fiasco hearing will go down in history as a stain on the GOP.

(2,596 posts)Mueller needs to fire up his afterburners and proceed to warp speed posthaste, or the jig will be up before the next indictments are announced. I would love to see an indictment against Shitler announced as he's meeting with his Russian puppetmaster on Monday and before the rethugs can have the kangaroo court wing of their so-called *party's* congress people move forward with those impeachment announcement.

(9,670 posts)The republicans will continue to practice cowardice, not courage.
They have an entire media outlet dedicated to propagating their shit. They have a fan base that trusts no one but those media sources for their news. Showing courage would mean undermining the status quo, which not only has acted to insulate them from culpability, but likely been complicitous in the perpetration of the crimes.
It took Chuckie this long to catch on. Therein lies the problem. A gross dereliction of duty.

(37,648 posts)isn't he? Stone has even responded to the indictments, saying they exonerate him.
His communications with the Russians have been discussed.
But maybe Bannon, too.
Trump would be involved, whether it was Stone or Bannon. NO ONE does anything for Trump w/o his approval or direction or order.
Blue_true
(31,261 posts)about and approves the actions. So you're right, no one would have worked with the Russians without Trump knowing and giving his blessing, and making other suggestions about what the Russians should do. That we have that lying, sloven pig as our President shows how truly lost some Americans are.

(7,402 posts)That Trump was notified earlier in the week that these inditements were coming and that he shared this with House Republicans and that is the backdrop for the hearing. It just deepens the spectacle that took place.
