Putin's gift to Trump

Putin is a master at framing the flow of events to turn A into B.

Having chaos in Europe is just the preview before a love fest in Helsinki.

Putin is going to do one of two things:

1) Putin could be so concerned about Trumps' recklessness that he believes that the benefit side of the cost/benefit ratio has run its course and it is only downside from here on out.

2) Or, more likely, he thinks that he is on the cusp of really upsetting the apple court.

If it is 2 then he is not going to let Trump go home without a big prize.

It will be wrapped in a big box looking great with nothing really there.

He could say that they have agreed to a substantial reduction of nuclear weapons, etc.

My guess is that Trump will come home with a commitment from Russia to negotiate a solution to the Crimea situation.

Of course it will be without substance but he will have something to crow about.

2. Putin screwed up.

His active measures only worked when it stayed in its ghost shape. Got an idiot in office, and Putins getting old and likes to pat himself on the back. Russia should have played the friends game with us for as long as possible.

Putin might start missing ups to the higher ups, door knobs for him.
