(33,956 posts)voter rolls were penetrated by the Russians.
Considering the amount of people who have been marching in the street....
So I do believe that if the republicans win in a landslide.....we should probably start learning to speak russian or we should make a break for the northern or southern border because democracy will be dead.

(7,789 posts)reporting systems, I won't accept the results for 2017 even if some Dems win. I want results that can be verified before I trust any announced election results since 2000. And elections before 200 don't look so hot either.

Joining the Canadian confederation looks more appealing every day that passes.

(35,268 posts)Not accepting has no meaning
I'm not leading the charge(wouldnt know where to start) but w/o some kind of pushback we are all accepting(or forced to swallow if you prefer) it

(54,770 posts)GOPers should get zero votes under current circumstances, but they still get a lot of support at local level -- particularly state level where gerrymandering is not as much of a factor.

(10,749 posts)What if, as we all hope, Dems win?
What if Dems win in the states but lose in Congressional races?
We are, and have been, in seriously dangerous territory.
This has been discussed here for years.

(36,424 posts)Yes, that process has flaws, too. Every process does. But it seems like the simplest way to secure our elections from electronic hacking, is to go back to paper ballots that are counted by human beings, not tabulators.

(9,527 posts)If for example as in 2016, the national polls right be before the election were highly accurate, then we lost.
As an increasingly frustrating reminder to give, there is exactly zero evidence votes were changed and all the evidence says that they weren't. Not wanting to accept basic reality, doesn't change facts.

(16,104 posts)I have to ask - what would you consider a Republican landslide?
Mr.Bill
(24,253 posts)I was thinking mainly of Congress. Let's say the republicans picked up 30 seats in the house and 10 in the Senate.
yallerdawg
(16,104 posts)and you can bet a lot of votes would be looked at before these elections were certified as final results!
40 Democrats would not go down quietly!
