How important are the indicted Russians to Putin himself?

Does he need them? What if he gives them up? Is this possible? It would be the brightest thingy object coming out of the "summit". The pressure to stop Russia from interfering again in our elections would be gone. Donnie looks good and Putin continues to undermine our Democracy.

If he gives them up he's tacitly admitting that it did. And if the Russians were sent to the US for trial, they'd certainly have been served a cup of polonium tea before they had a chance to testify.

Won’t happen. It would demolish morale in the Russian Intel services. Who would ever want to work for Putin if they faced the danger of being turned over to the US or another western Nation ?

and I bet putin not liking it. He thinks his hackers are the best but maybe they are not. Putin would never admit anything even if you torture him, it’s not easy to become the head of kgb.
