warned Putin about interfering. Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson formally blamed the Russian government in an official statement. New sanctions were ordered. Obama expelled diplomats. I’m sure there was more but that’s what I remember.

Could Obama do more. Possibly. But perhaps he was waiting for more definitive info - which we now have.

7. The damage was already done with the materials being leaked.

The only thing more to have done was to maybe make a massive deal about it to the public, but then Clinton was 10 points ahead in the polls and they already made it known that Russia was probably behind the attack.

The most important thing Pres Obama did was to order the intelligence agencies to launch a broad investigation, which then led to the appointment of a special counsel, which may just bring down the Trump regime.

I also read that when he brought it up with the Russians, their activity level decreased, but by then they had enough hacked info to cause damage to Clinton.

Had he spoken out about it, the deplorables, along with the media, would have claimed he was threatening the integrity of our elections. 45 would have run around saying the fix was in...The 2016 elections started this twisted never-ending circus whose sole aim is to drown out reasonable voices.
