Coca-Cola recalls Odwalla Superfood bottled smoothies

Bottled smoothie recalled for “potential presence of foreign matter,” Publix announces

Three lots of Odwalla Superfood bottled smoothies have been recalled by parent company Coca-Cola, Publix announced Friday.

Publix quotes Coca-Cola’s statement as “This product does not meet our high-quality standards due to the potential presence of foreign matter in a specific ingredient used in this product. Consumers are urged NOT to drink this product subject to the voluntary recall.”

The lot numbers recalled, at least of the 15.2-ounce bottles sold at Publix, are Aug 3118 AS; Sep 0218 AS; and Sep 0318 AS. Those who bought the recalled smoothies should return them to the store of purchase for a full refund.
