As in there are too many of them? When has arms control ever been talked about by trump relative to the USA? Hasn't he always said we are weak and following behind? And isn't he now trying to increase nukes by using smaller yield bombs?

(21,563 posts)He was quite vocal before about increasing our stockpile and blaming Obama for making us weak in the nuclear realm (because I guess we need the ability to blow up the world six times over instead of five).

(15,237 posts)That is utter bull shit. There would be no winners in a nuclear exchange. No first strike advantage, no such thing as a limited tactical nuclear war. One nuclear strike in one city would bankrupt either the United States or Russia. Nuclear war is not winnable and mutual assured destruction is still the order of the day.
