Invited the Senator to think about representing America, not just republicans.

Stayed civil but pointed out that if the Senator was waiting for it to personally impact his family, a la his change of heart re: gay rights, then it would be too late.

Asked what the Senator planned to do...and was told that they are still studying the full scope of today's conversations (i.e. still reading the polls).

Call, call again, then keep calling.
