All in all, this was probably the most damaging moment of Trumps presidency. How he handles that when the reality begins to sink in is anyones guess.>>>
My feelings exactly. This was the most damaging moment of the presdency. And the whole world was watching. Sigh!

Pretending he's the smartest man in the room is hard for Trump because unless the room is empty, most people know that isn't true.
Trump, as usual, made it about himself. Republicans hated it when Obama did it; they should feel the same way especially in this instance. Putin is not our friend.

Well said. I don't understand how he doesn't see what we see. This was an easy layup and he manages to simply reinforce every criticism levied at him by his enemies and actually breath new life into the dying collusion hysteria. And for what? It's not like Russia gave us something or will suddenly care about US interests. This tickle fest was pointless and a complete missed opportunity. He could of reset every narrative to his advantage and didn't. Why? I don't get it, especially when his actual policies have been tough in Russia.

Come on! It's quite simple. Putin has something on Trump. Trump is a Russian asset. The "dying collusion hysteria" is not dying, and it's not hysteria. It is collusion, plain and simple! Shame on him for supporting the Russian asset until now.
And his actual policies are not at all tough "in" (sic) Russia. I wonder which policies this guy had in mind. Probably something from the alternative fact universe.
