He represents the fact that the top 1% -- the true elites-- are moving toward extreme radical, right wing policies. Even if that means turning on long established American institutions like the CIA, FBI, and the DOJ. Trump would not be president if the top 1% didn't want him to be. Their comfort with him shows how extreme they're becoming.
Any other president saying, doing what Trump did today would be facing impeachment from the congress. The top 1% has the power to turn the congress on Trump, and they are not doing it.
Now, here's the really scary part. What comes after Trump? It's not going to be some "mainstream", "moderate" Republican. The next one will be far, far worse than Trump.

(7,431 posts)trade wars and destabilizing maneuvers abroad, my guess is that the 1% is getting shaky. They'll have to decide if they want to ride Trumpy's roller coaster, but doing so places their wealth at risk. So I'm going with "stability first" for the oligarchs, and thinking that they will pressure the GOP to remove this idiot. We know that the GOP won't do it on principle, because they don't have any. Instead, they can use the oligarchs pressure to remove Trumpy and use patriotism and/or national security as a cover. I really don't care how they do it. Just get it done.
