Another tinhorn Mussolini, Frank Rizzo popped up

Today...his widow died aged 101. As opposed to the state funeral which her husband had, she will be quietly buried.

Those of you who are too young to remember Rizzo’s tenure here in Philadelphia would be wise to study his rise. It paralleled in a way the rise of this fascist criminal Trump. The appeal to the “displaced” white individual for starters....

Didn't realize she was still around. It still boggles the mind that Jr. is 75.

Frank with the strippers and the transsexuals, the son hiding in the closet, The wife at home quietly in the expensive home gifted to them by a corrupt builder, who commit suicide in a hospital bed.

To say nothing of the deaths and shakedowns attributable to the police state we had here

and Jr. elected to City Council as GOP, speaks volumes (although he was apparently a Republican before the '50s and switched after Dilworth completely changed city government - sortof of the reverse of what Specter did back then). In any case, we literally saw the rise and transition of the "Nixon Democrats" who eventually became Republicans, under his administration.

I remember being at a conference in Denver back in '91 and after the sessions were over, I visited a bookstore and chatted with the owner. When she found out I was from Philly, she suddenly blurted out - "I heard your mayor just died". I was like what???! Goode? She said "No, Rizzo". Then I explained about him and his history, although much of it she seemed to have already known about given that he made national news for his gestapo tactics.
