I've got a feeling (a feeling approaching near certitutide) that something dark, dank, and SNEAKY happened in that occulted meeting between Pooty Poot & Dirty Donny* (R). And I've got a strong hunch that whatever it is, it ain't something good for democracy, truth, or justice.

(18,480 posts)Trump did something horrible and is convinced Putin has the goods on him. Putin playing him out like a good fisherman, doesn't confirm or deny - doesn't really matter if Putin has the goods on him or not, Trump believes he does. Putin has him by the short hairs.

(4 posts)This is just speculation on my part, but I completely believe that 45 has money owed to Russia after all other banks would not loan to him. I believe he is TERRIFIED that he and Ivanka may end up poisoned too.
If the IRS opens a case on 45's finances as requested by Barbara Underwood Attorney General of NY in her claim against the Trump Foundation, we may finally find out what Russia has on him. No evidence the IRS will file against him yet, fingers crossed.
I think 45 and Daddy Putin talked about money owed, among other things.

You could be right about Trump's finances. After all, even if he had had sex with a minor, Republicans have shown that they don't care about this as evidenced by their support for Roy Moore's barely failed Senate candidacy.
But if Trump's true finances are exposed-- that he's basically broke-- his whole mythology as a great, smart and "really rich" businessman collapses. In that instance, what is the basis for his base to support him?
Yes, I agree with you on that.
Thanks for the welcome!!

(4,522 posts)My guess is they're planning a distraction - small "war" somewhere (with putins blessing etc) to distract from the Nov elections.
It would be a win/win for putin - if it distracts he keeps his puppet in power. If not, it further tears the US apart.
Even if this all fails and somehow trump is removed - the right will basically revolt and create chaos. They'll see this as a "take over" by the deep state etc that is illegitimate
Perfectly plausible.
