He's a compulsive liar. Nothing he says is credible. The only people who know what was agreed to, or surrendered, are trump*, Putin, and whoever hears the audio that was secretly recorded.
And, let's face it. If the CIA had 'wired' trump*, he no doubt would have pulled the wire the instant the door was closed.

(26,177 posts)He's lied in depositions and he brags about the lying. He's never been held to account, so he is convinced that none of the rules apply to him.

(26,177 posts)There is no way to prove or disprove the validity of anything he might say, unless Russia would release the tape. And then how confident would you be that what the are releasing is unedited?
I truly believe that there is no way we can ever know what was said, what was agreed to and what was surrendered.
And let me add, I am far from confident, even if we COULD prove he's lying, that the GOP would do anything about it.

(26,177 posts)To explain my take on the situation: I'm alone in a room with someone and I am leveraged to agree to "Plan A". But we tell everyone we talked about the weather. Plan A never came up. We are the only two who know what was said (except for the easily edited tape of the conversation.)
So, how do you absolutely prove I agreed to Plan A? And that's the argument a good portion of the GOP will use to not take up impeachment.
If the lies are proved AFTER trump* leaves office, the same amount of nothing will happen.

(20,411 posts)I can not state with certainty that something will surface . . . but I cannot state with certainty that it won't. I vote for putting his comments on record. What can be lost by doing so?
Sure I anticipate him lying. He lies 6.5 times per day based per fact checking.
Putin was there - probably recording the two hours. A translator was there - and likely to be questioned.
Who knows . . . not you or I.

(26,177 posts)We have a perfect storm going on with the two people in that meeting. Neither has an honest bone in their body. One is likely going to lie to cover his ass, the other will lie to protect and further his plans.
