Steve Schmidt on MSNBC

Just now. He said:

"He sat there with slobbering servility, on bended knee, at the feet of Vladimir Putin the Russian autocrat. Again, it was an extraordinary scene the likes of which we have never seen in the history of the United States ."

What an apt description

Or more likely, the Republican Party left him and it took some time for him to realize it.

My parents, lifelong Repubs, left the party when the religious right took over. They adored Clinton! Both died before Obama became president, but I think they would have loved him.

But he hit the nail on the head with the description of spanky sucking up to Putin.

"“President Trump, I just saw your press conference with President Putin, and it was embarrassing,” Schwarzenegger said in the clip. “I mean, you stood there like a little wet noodle, like a little fanboy. I mean, I was asking myself when are you going to ask him for an autograph or for a selfie or something like that. I mean, you literally sold out with this press conference our intelligence community, our justice system, and, worst of all, our country. You’re the president of the United States. You shouldn’t do that. What’s the matter with you? I mean, whatever happened to the strong words or to the strength of Ronald Reagan? I mean, he stood there at the Berlin Wall and he said, ‘Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall.’ What happened to all that?”

That could be a good parody song to the tune of "Silent Lucidity."

" I'm lying here next to you. In slobbering servility".
