If those tasked with the job were to burst into DT's residence tonight, informing him that a first strike is on its way and that he has 12 minutes to launch our missiles, would he believe them? Or would he say "fake news" and spend crucial minutes trying to call his buddy, Vlad?
If there's any chance that he would disbelieve the defense establishment in the same way disbelieves the Intelligence officials who reported the 2016 election interference, then he must be removed from office. To enemies in Russia, the odds of there being a muddled nuclear response on our part must appear higher now than at any time in the last 50 years. That uncertainty invites attack.
If DT can't be trusted with the Presidential Emergency Satchel, he can't remain in office.
