What it comes down to is Republicans don't care and Democrats can't be bothered to vote, it's really that simple.

If Democrats do not get their act together and keep allowing the Republicans to focus on social wedge issues that swing voters are not interested just like Karl Rove did in 2004, Republicans will continue to hold onto a majority in the House and Senate, and Trump will be able to continue doing whatever he wants.
