They are showing they are the other part of government, a durable, stable institution that is there for the American people.

They are willing to make a statement, and let the chips fall as they may, instead of scheduling later and REACTING to Trump.

IOW, they are as much the government as Trump is, he no longer sets that agenda.

with a problem or a situation, Nancy Pelosi would be extremely high on my list of preferred advisors. She understands power on an intuitive level. She was bred in that environment and has lived it all her life. And she rarely if ever overpromises, or gets caught in a half-truth. She hedges, she puts the best face on things, she lives to fight again tomorrow. I hope she is teaching the next generation of Democrats. We have mini-rebellions from very qualified people, but they still have much to learn from her.

Using the word weak is a great way to attack because it will drive Trump crazy. His whole schtick is to appear tough, which he uses to cover up for just how weak he really. He's intimitaded by women, strong and smart women scare him shitless. The reason he acts up at NATO and G8 meetings is because nobody there gives him the fealty he craves.


At the end of the day Donald is simply an impotent bully. A scared little boy.

matters a lot. So Democrats are the minority but if they can change the narrative and not be afraid to say the T word without being hammered in the press as being uncivil, I say keep it going, don't ease up, there's more room on the impeach train.

37. Constructive criticism....

When Dems have a press conference such as this which is great and wonderful to respond to current political events and get our message out....

They should have a wireless remote microphone for press questions at the end when the primary speakers have finished.

The speakers are up on the stage.... the questions at the end are asked in the crowd but the listener has no idea what the question was that was asked.... there is a dead/blank spot while the question is asked but only faint mumbling in the background while the question is asked... then the stage speaker proceeds to address the question that was asked.

This dead spot where the listening audience is left in the blind about the questions being asked could be easily remedied by having a remote wireless mic connected to the amplified sound system so the listening audience could hear the questions as they are asked directly to the speakers on the stage area.

A usher could go out in the crowd at the end when the question period starts with the wireless mic in hand... and hand the mic off to the media folks asking the questions. Then we could all hear the questions in real time. This would enhance the press conference dramatically.

We need to take in up a notch or two to enhance the mechanics of our press relations and perfect our ability to do media more smoothly and successfully. A blind spot or a blank spot in a media presentation is verboten and presents a reason to tune out or turn off the message or to switch the channel to something else.

Capturing and holding the listening audience is the name of the game - to get our message out successfully. If we can improve upon our media technique that would be very helpful to our cause and our messaging efforts.
