That's a great example of standing up and being counted, but it's hardly a qualifier for the Presidency.

(135,425 posts)I don't like the notion of American Royalty. I prefer variety in my political leaders--a Howard Dean, a Paul Wellstone, or more recently, a Tammy Duckworth. Smart people who aren't relying on a "legacy" or a "history" to make their mark.
We recently had a President who had the DNA of TWO US presidents in his genetic history--Dumbya--related to Pierce and Poppy. So much for legacies.
