to get through the sound wall. You can add Rush, Hannity, and the others on the radio as well. I think it will get even worse once Fox is bought by Disney and the news group becomes a bigger part of Murdoch's interest. Perhaps revenue from the other areas helps to paper over a loss leader, but Fox has huge viewership. Neither CNN nor MSNBC have the level of on message control of Fox (MSNBC even has a Republican as one of their leading voices).

Trump TV, for the base and by the base.

Example... How many here shop Hobby Lobby? I don't.

Fake Prez's base is sufficient to ensure Fake News Channel isn't horribly underwater financially.

BTW cable news doesn't make much money. I know Sky News in the UK loses money, but exists as a public service and to counter the licence fee funded BBC News Channel... And ITV tried a news channel but couldn't make it work financially. Though ITV News is on par with BBC News.

The new Fox News slogan is "Real News. Real Honest Opinion"
They may be losing viewership because their base of scared, old, white people don't live forever.

I saw a few Fox News posters on trains near me and felt that they needed correction.
I printed out labels with "Fake" and "Racist" in black letters so that the slogan now reads
"Fake News. Real Racist Opinion." At least people will know what they're getting if they tune in to Fox News.

I don't any information gets passed back (of course I am still using a coaxial cable connection). Maybe the new boxes keep track of this information. I am not sure I am comfortable with that, and I sure would want to know.

We have Basic Cable (no CNN, MSNBC, Fox). I have been far happier saving the $35/mo. and not having those stations. I don't even miss ESPN. My wife likes the HGTV channel, but she doesn't miss anything else. I did hate giving up AMC for some of the shows.

program ratings. Channels take valuable space on the cable. Although some companies pay the company to carry them, most don't.

If you had a package that had fox and cnn and no one in your town clicked on fox and everyone did on cnn, fox would probably disappear.

Anything you do is quantified. They could care less about your name or anything, just what programs people in you demographics watch. That way when contracts come around for negotiation they know what to purchase.

Same way with the highway depts. how do they know where to put a stop light. They put those hoses out that count cars. Hit a certain number in a certain time, and a stop light is ordered out.

I looked at the list of advertisers. It's a huge list. I don't think most people can give up doing business with that many companies. It includes insurance companies and pharma companies.

Maybe the sponsors of particular shows? Like Hannity's show? Tucker Carlson's?

And boycott the network? Giving up a few entertainment shows is easy. That boycotts the advertisements of all those companies.
