Changing the one word breaks the sentence, for one thing, and it doesn't change all the rest of what he said. Nobody objectively believes his explanation.

It does serve as a loyalty test -- sort of a test of a person's faith in Trump. If they believe him, they're faithful to him.

It's a bit like a religious tenet. It separates the faithful from the unwashed.

"i meant 'not'"??

really??

that is literally something five-year olds try a few times and then realize it doesn't actually work before they turn six.

supposed top political people with access to the best p.r. firms and think tanks took 24 hours to come up with something most five-year olds know doesn't work.

staff to pour over the transcript of that debacle of a presser yesterday to figure out what they could do to clean up his mess.

The only thing they could settle on was "wouldn't" instead of "would".

What a brilliant staff I should give them somewhat of a break though, they don't have much to work with.

Mortgages and private school tuition must be what's keeping them in those jobs because the time they're working there won't be easy to hide on their resumes after this shitshow WH is done.
