They twisted themselves into pretzels trying to rationalize the nonsensical do over of would - wouldn't. As if a reporter didn't directly ask him to react to putin's denials right there. Or why he didn't correct this in his interviews with fox which was right after the summit. It took him over 24 hours to make this "correction." He also crossed out on his notes
“Anyone involved in that meddling to justice." He was asked if he would bring up extradition of the 12 russian officials at the putin meeting prior to it. He gave a non answer. So anyone who is serious would not buy this do over.
