Over the past 20 years China has learned to love one U.S. export – pecans. And no state sells more of them to China than Georgia.

Farmers have spent decades fostering personal relationships in China resulting in lucrative sales. But the Trump administration’s trade war is threatening the economy of rural Georgia – a state that solidly supported him.

Many of the major pecan producers in GA are in an area with very large AA population, including many minority majority cities/counties. Your regional bigotry is bashing a lot of Democratic voters.

Georgia was closer than "swing" states like Iowa and Ohio. So, the support there isn't really super solid like Wyoming or Kentucky. If Trump hurts some GA farmers, maybe some stay home and not vote this year and in 2020, and maybe a small few even vote Democratic. Could make a big difference.
