New Poll Shows Democrats Have Strong Desire for New Faces in 2020

BY LEO VIDAL at Politicus USA

"SNIP.........

According to Rasmussen:

“Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden are among those touted as serious Democratic presidential contenders in 2020, but three-out-of-four Democrats think their party needs to turn to someone new.”

The conservative polling firm found that seventy-three percent of “likely Democratic voters” believe that the Democratic Party should promote someone new in the 2020 presidential race rather than a Democratic politician who has run in the past. Only 16 percent of poll respondents disagreed with the need for “fresh faces,” and another 11 percent of poll participants had no opinion on the matter or were undecided.

Among all “likely voters,” 65 percent of those Rasmussen spoke to said that the Democrats should find someone new to be their standard bearer in 2020.

Just 19 percent thought that the party should support a candidate who has run previously.

If she couldn't win against Trump the first time, then let someone else try. Running the candidate who lost the first time around is a lost cause and a waste of time. No Bernie either. I agree. We need someone new.

Dems will walk away from success and pick the dark horses. One of the reasons the minority repug party has been kicking our asses for decades.

Eisenhower's second term right. except maybe Daddy Bush, Right?.

Nixon committed treason with the North Vietnamese.

Ditto Reagan with the Iranians

W Bush in Florida with Jeb and Katherine Harris in 2000, in 2004 in Ohio with Ken Blackwell.

Trump in 2016 with Putin, Comey, Interstate Crosscheck and on and on and on.

and apportioning the blame to where it belongs instead of ignoring the fact that repugs are cheaters.

How about advocating getting out more of those non-voters instead as winning by a large enough margin as in the Obama campaigns is only way to beat the cheaters until we can get some control to put effective measures in place to stop the cheating.

President Obama was very much a dark horse in 2008. It's all about having a message that is sane and working your ass off on the campaign trail.

placed him in the running and gave all other candidates a goal to shoot for. I can not think of anyone, at this time, who holds such an advantage.
My reply was more directed toward the down ticket Democrats currently in office who need our support.
My litmus test will be if they, in anyway, did not do all they could do to oppose the mobster.

I’m loving the guy. Talks truth to bullshit. Does not seem ambitious. Smart as a tack.

Trump would not debate him because he understands the times have changed and would throw out the old rules. Would ask him what Putin has in him that turns him into a puss. ( a term I generally dislike but in this case would be effective).

And Americans are starting to long for a regular person as president.
