Obviously, moving nail production to Mexico or another country is a possibility, but it is a bad alternative. Mid Continent does not want to move and is not planning to do so, said company spokesman Jim Glassman. The workers there continue to hope and expect that President Trump will save their jobs.
Philip Bennett, 37, a machine repairman at Mid Continent, appeared close to tears as he talked about his 5-year-old daughter, Aubree, who has a congenital heart condition that has required multiple surgeries. He has health insurance through Mid Continent that covers her.
Theres a lot of good things that he is doing. But hes affecting me now, and I dont appreciate it, Bennett, a Trump supporter, said of the president.
I mean, I dont expect him to come down here, he added. Itd be nice and see what hes affecting, and see the people hes hurting.

We should have let Missouri secede, along with the rest of the neo-confederacy. Take a look at this shitassery:
"Hes the only one who hasnt lied about what he was going to do in office, insists Eric Turner, a chef. So although through the tariffs he's going to drive up the cost of everything, people are still going to stand behind him" in heavily Republican Butler County.

All I can offer to him is thoughts and prayers.

Poverty and depression will set in soon.

(2,795 posts)But these republican voters are going to finally get to live under republican policies. Up until now, Dems have managed to shield them from the onslaught of hurtful republican policies, for decades. There is no help for them now.

(7,725 posts)Sorry about Aubree. What were you thinking voting against the Healthcare President dude? dt has a niece who needed funding for a health issue very desperately. She was "Franks Daughter' though. And dt did everything short of putting his heel to her throat. Health issues don't sway this guy. dt cares about himself ONLY..(.while he's cruising the drive-thru at Mc'ie D's, can we hope for a M.I.? Or will Tucker Carlson accuse me of calling for violence?)
PS...Where is this kid these days? Maybe she should be interviewed re. her uncle?

For some reason the truth of your simple statement, "We can't worry about those people" finally hit me hard.
I'd really love to care about them. It is my nature to care about them. But our survival as a country means we must not. And we mustn't ever again. They have to feel the ramifications of their actions.

(61,690 posts)The administration is trying to get rid of coverage for pre-existing conditions. Bennett's daughter will be uninsurable after they repeal the rest of legislation that supports the ACA, and he gets laid off.

(31,261 posts)My guess. The parents put on a sappy eyed pity campaign when they have no insurance, and some dogooder, left wing organization that they now hate step in and save their child. But even with that, the parents will continue to vote republican and when the dad get a job with health insurance again, they will look down on poor people.

In today's Medical Cost Market,he is looking at several Hundred Thousands of dollars and these Heart Conditions most times can not be put on hold for the next Job or Insurance Company. Chances are, this wonder Tike will be excluded because of a per-existing condition.
My guess is,there are hundreds facing the same uncertainty with Trump screwing with lively-hood.

(15,805 posts)voted for Trump because his special brand of selfishness, bigotry, misogyny, ignorance, racism and hate came with a Republican bumper sticker.
He's come late to his lesson, but there's still no guarantee that people like him will ever acknowledge he was wrong about Trump. Democrats recognized Trump as a fraud from the beginning, but Trump voters, even those with buyers remorse will find excuses for clinging to the myth they created.

This is the only thing these people will respond to... physical and/or financial suffering.
Mommy and Daddy (AKA the Democrats) must allow these fools to reap their natural consequence.
McCaskill should hold off and let these people sit in their muck. Then offer a potential solution close to November and force them to vote for their party or someone who will actually help them.

I'd bet money this fool voted for Trump because he knew Trump would work to destroy those who are too brown, too foreign, too female, too gay, too Islamic.
If this dude wants things in his life to go better, he better make a choice: a) be a starving, broke, sick bigot full of hate, or b) ditch the hate and bigotry, and vote for the party who will work to make your life better.
