Republicans Block Move To Subpoena Interpreter From Trump-Putin Summit

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes led Republicans in a party line vote to table the motion.

"WASHINGTON (AP) — Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee have blocked a move to subpoena the interpreter from the Helsinki summit to testify about the private talks between President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The panel’s top Democrat, Rep. Adam Schiff, said Thursday he wanted the State Department interpreter to appear in closed session, saying Congress must “find out what was said” during the two-hour meeting.
The California lawmaker says he realizes it’s an “extraordinary” step to subpoena the interpreter, but it’s also extraordinary for the president to meet alone with a U.S. adversary.
Chairman Devin Nunes, also of California, led Republicans in a party line vote to table the motion. Nunes said a panel hearing on China was not an appropriate venue. The vote was 11-6."

No reason why Mueller couldn't subpoena him/her, it's a conversation between Trump and Putin coti Jul 2018 #5

1. Buy massive airtime warning people that because of the Russians and the Republican Party, the 2018 mid-term election is not safe. Implore all voters to call their county board of Elections IMMEDIATELY to make sure they are registered and have a voter card. No Nov 6 Surprises!

2. Organize Bus trips in intercity areas to make sure people have their voter photo IDs.

3. Figure out which states have the cleanest elections and particularly target Republicans in those states.

4. In ANY place where people can use paper ballots, encourage them to do so.

5. Run ruthless attacks ads linking the entire GOP as nothing but shills and pawns of the uberwealthy who will never be a check on Putin's, I mean, Trump's power!

...damn this person may be the most sought after "witness" in the world right now? What about notes, recordings?

Since House declined, surely Senate committer will take up this urgent issue, since it's related to Russia.
