This would be an opportune time for the Special Counsel to subpoena Donald Trump..

...while his betrayal of America is still fresh in people's minds. Under oath, perhaps he could ask Trump about what he discussed with Putin in Helsinki?

Most likely, Trump would refuse and take it to Court. Would that be good or bad?

If nothing else, it would put a lie to his claim that he truly wants to talk to the Special Counsel. Perhaps this is the time to give him that opportunity?

stupid to get it, or they don't care. It is a good time to get him to formally deny a subpoena.

Of course, trumpsters will just say that Mueller would not agree to adequate protections to ensure America's security was not compromised -- obviously a joke considering how trump has already compromised it with actions like Helsinki, trying to destroy NATO, canceling trade deals, tariffs, not beefing up election cyber protection systems, racism, etc.

arguments on all sides, to trumps advantage.

The 'red hot'/treason crowd need to understand the Reagan Contras case.

Reagan committed BLACK LETTER LAW 'TREASON', which was evidenced in a bipartisan, blue-ribbon, Congressional Commission Report.

Reagan, and the Republicons, breezed by that Report, media outrage, public outrage, etc.; like nothing happened. The legal case was made, the political case was not.

The same result could happen if Mueller moves too soon! Let 'the proceess', which is going relatively well, play out.

Mueller understood that the obviously guilty Gotti had consistently beat prosecutions, courts, and the law. Mueller was the one, who very carefully, convicted Gotti.

Mueller has handled this case, wise veteran he is, very well.
