The Russians Gave The VC & North Vietnamese 6 Foot Rockets That Killed US Forces.

As a Vietnam vet I remember displays of captured Russian 6 foot rockets that killed many American soldiers. They were not very accurate but could penetrate a bunker with their 100 pound charge. We must remember that the Russians aided the North Vietnamese during the entire war.

1. Patton was right in '45...should have kept right on going from Berlin to Moscow.

We had the opportunity then to take actions that would have made for a drastically different post-war Europe and no Cold War, likely no Korean War or Vietnam either. Of course there would have been a completely different narrative and history that would have been totally unpredictable, so maybe wars and conflicts in central and south America would have been more intense and led to worse outcomes...

The point really is the Russians were last Allies of the United States the day before the fall of Berlin in '45 and have been at BEST adversaries and at worst military enemies ever since...

Vadim Petrovich Shcherbakov was an officer in the Soviet Air Defense Forces (PVO Strany). As a senior lieutenant, he was serving in the 260th "Bryansky" Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment. In 1966-1967 Shcherbakov's whole regiment was temporarily assigned as a Group of Soviet Military Advisors in Vietnam (Группа советских военных специалистов во Вьетнаме ) and in March 1966 was transferred to North Vietnam, where the regiment was tasked with establishing a training center and training the NVA's 274th Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment for combat duty. In North Vietnam Shcherbakov served as a SAM operator/instructor, and specialized as a fire control operator during combat deployments. For his service Shcherbakov received the Order of Lenin, the highest Soviet decoration after returning from North Vietnam in 1967. Task Force Russia: POW/MIA in their 18th report claims that formerly closed soviet sources credited Col Shchbakov with 10 combat engagements and 6 kills.[1] After Vietnam, Shcherbakov continued his service, eventually reaching the rank of Colonel. Very little is known about his biography except for multiple brief mentions in Soviet Officers' Vietnam War memoirs. He was still alive in 1991, when he was attending an annual meeting of the Russian Association of Vietnam War veterans. He was a retired Colonel at that time.

I understand why of course. The wants to prevent China from dominating the region and there is historical animosity between Vietnam and China.

I think we are taking hatred of Russia too far. trump is who we ought to focus on. He’s the one who is ruining our country.

45 doesn't care that the US was backing Assad's opposition -- he wants to give Pooty-Poot whatever he wants.

He is innocent of that, won't be hard for him.
