Sheriff Doug Rader reports the boat had 31 people on board. He tells KY3 News four of those have been transported to a hospital. Some of the 31 on board include children. Divers are on the scene searching for more possible victims. The sheriff says he does not know how many on the boat are missing. The sheriff is asking for any family missing someone to go to Branson City Hall. It remains a rescue and recovery mission.

What I don't understand is that they were expecting storms. I don't know why they went out in the first place

But I do know growing up in the area it was a thing almost all school kids did at one point. Apparently patents thought they were safe or they would t let their kids go. So sad all around.

Lots of people vacation there, and they didn’t go there to sit in a hotel room. This particular storm rolled through very quickly and featured 80 mph winds. They likely didn’t have time to react.

Tragic.

It was clear all afternoon and hot. Nothing out of the ordinary and then suddenly about 7:00 suddenly the sky got black and the wind really kicked up and rain pelted and all this was in about 1/2 hour and now it's totally calm again and no clouds.

Really high winds--I was parked and my car started rocking back and forth! Rain poured down hard for about 10 minutes and then it was all over.

I can believe that it flipped the boat. The boat sinking is horrible. I know the Branson Belle captain and he must just be in shock from trying to save all those people and seeing it happen in front of him.

When the accident occurred, rescuers from a Naval Reserve base at the fort and a Fire Department boat pulled 22 people from the water, including a 60-year-old woman who died. Officials were still waiting to release her identity yesterday.

The missing are 6-year old Daniel Benstrem, of Harrisonburg, Va., who was on an outing with his family, and Corinne J. Schillings, 26, of Homewood, Ill., and her fiance, Andrew M. Roccella, also 26, of Virginia.
