Watch how long before trump has some in Congress , his minions, start talking lifting sanctions for putin now. That's what this is about , and allow putin now to further test nuclear weapons without anything being said, like with NK and Kim was done. trump knows russian was ignoring the NK sanctions and giving them weapons parts and supplies, yet trump now says they'll help with NK. Sounds like trumps in putins pocket, and trumps a willing agent for them now in the open, and the gop do nothing to stop him.
