It's hard to take a temperature around here right now 'cause I'm keeping out of public places for the most part. Most of the folks at the library are kind of liberal, I think.

3. I realize now that I've underestimated Michael Cohen

By making those recordings maybe his intention wasn't to bring down the President. But that's exactly what he is doing. He knew he'd be raided but he didn't destroy anything. He kept the documents, receipts, tapes, burner phones, everything. Why else would he do that, except to nail Trump?

I don't get it, but I'm sure glad he did it.

7. Sure - but somebody who would "take a bullet for Mr. Trump"

... should have made sure the evidence was destroyed or put somewhere completely safe. He was caught with everything in packing boxes in his office and apartment when the Feds raided him.

Maybe this guy was not as loyal as he professed to the media. Earlier I was commenting that it was because of stupidity. But now it seems maybe he wanted all this stuff to come out. I've seen several times on DU and elsewhere that Cohen was not treated very respectfully by the Trump Organization.

Not competively, socially. When I was in college, I would occasionally have enough to get a student fee round at the course the university owned (don't, it's the south). But it was a really, really nice course. Since I didn't know when I could afford to play, I would just show up when I had the free cash and get put in with random players.

One Sunday I met a guy, as the round went on, it seemed that he was well off. I guess at some point, the guy felt comfortable with giving me advice, I had told him that I was a student about to complete engineering school. The advice that he gave me came in several segments during the round. The first was about dating women who I would be working with, his advice was to avoid it, his statement was "don't eat where you shit, because if I did, I was going to end up eating shit". His other advice was on lawyers and accountants, he said that I looked like an honest kid, but that I should consider having a dirty lawyer and accountant and a respectable lawyer and accountant. When I asked why I would need dirty professionals, he said that I have no idea of what situations I may get into that might require a dirty lawyer or dirty accountant. After the round, I realized that my beater car was parked close to his big mercedes. I didn't take his advice on accountants and lawyers because I never needed a dirty one, but I remember it to this day.

Trump is a rabid womanizer and a crook. He has gotten into lots of dirty shit. Cohen was probably his dirty lawyer, the person that took care of the sewer work. When Trump dealt with respectable organizations, he likely used someone else.

11. Yes but Avenatti had some luck too

I admit, that guy is GOOD!

However he's got a great, photogenic, above-average client in Stormy Daniels. And he's receiving help from some people who are quietly feeding him tips under the table. Mueller and his people do not leak anything, but there are other people involved who maybe aren't so scrupulous. All I'm saying is, Avenatti knows how to capitalize on the tips he's received.

And he's fearless, which is important in this situation.

And he knows how to work the press as well as DJT.

Make sure you have more dirt on them than they have on you. Or, as they say in Mexico: chinga-chingada.

Better to exposé the Con than be personally exposed - keep tapes.
I heard one of the lawyers say that earlier.

In Greek mythology, Lichas was Heracles' servant, who brought the poisoned shirt from Deianira to Hercules because of Deianira's jealousy of Iole, which killed him.
