Failed Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore was endorsed by Etowah County Sheriff Todd Entrekin despite numerous accusations of Moores inappropriate sexual behavior with minors. Now Entrekin has also been accused of having sex with underage girls.
AL.com, the publication that broke much of the news regarding Moores alleged sexual misconduct, reports Entrekin is under investigation after being accused of sexual misconduct at drug-fueled parties he hosted for fellow law enforcement officers and other adult men in the early nineties.
AL.com detailed the timeline of the accusations:

(51,582 posts)Is it just coming out of the wood work now and there have always been this many? Is it a symptom of our current society, religion, political affiliation, gender, age, race, etc? It seems much more common or is it just being revealed and has been stays quo but silent?

(100,056 posts)White conservatives have been able to get away with so much for so long because no one challenges them. But now in the #MeToo movement we're finally starting to see real damage of what these assholes have been able to get away with. The good old boys are a dying breed and everyone knows it.

The Bible's pretty chock-full of virgin-worship (as has been common across many, many religions and cultures thru history), and there's all kinda references to quite young women getting married, having babies, etc. There's also of course the general 'men are the rulers' patriarchal attitude that it promotes.
Deep down they likely knew damn well that what they're doing was wrong, but the Bible don't ever really say so, in fact, Bible seems to suggest it's just FINE, y'all. Back in the good ol' Biblical days, 20-30 y.o. men were pluckin' themselves virgin brides to start their brood right and left, after all, and God didn't care!
But guess what, Jethro? The average 15 year old in 100BCE ... she knew how to sew, how to cook, how to gut a chicken, tend to a garden, dress a serious wound, and had probably watched numerous people (let alone animals) die already, and maybe helped bury them or build their funeral pyres. She also likely grew up regularly seeing and esp. hearing ... people having sex, cause there weren't any 'master bedrooms' unless you were royalty. She'd also lived on average 1/3 of her life already. Simply put, being 15 yo in those days was probably comparable to being 25 yo, nowadays.
People then also didn't have NEARLY the range of 'partner options' that we do in today's world. People didn't come into contact with 100's of strangers every day. They couldn't make phone calls, grab a flight somewhere, or just pick up and move easily.
It was a WAY more hard-scrabble and brutal existence, and people were fighting just to stay alive. Can't really apply 'the situation' in 100BCE Jerusalem ... to 20th Century America.

(100,056 posts)Because that's something that all religions teach in some form or another. That's why creeps like Roy Moore targeted high schools and specifically young girls. It's what JAYSUS and all the gods would want!

Alabama sheriff Todd Entrekin legally used more than 750,000 dollars from funds meant to feed inmates to buy his self a beach house.
The Etowah County sheriff told news sources that he follows a state law passed before World War II that allows him to pocket excess inmate feeding funds for himself.
And according to state and law officials in Alabama, Entrekin is correct. It is legal to do this.
Alabama has a law that allows sheriffs to keep and retain unspent money from jail food provision accounts.

If Sheriff Entrekin says Roy Moore didn't bugger female children you can be sure he's telling the truth.
