teaching students in the public school. Not to mention her Sunday School teaching.

Interesting church they got there.

Sunday after church potluck followed by Klan meeting?

Total nutcase racist. This woman and those like her are how genocides happen, she is sick, violent, and 100% sure it's justified.

My anger is turning into pity as I see how they have been so evil manipulated to be...this.

But that fear may be even harder to break her of.

And for the record, i'm not saying she doesn't hate, i'm just saying the root engine of her hatred is her fear.

Her fear drives everything. That's the thing about conservatives, they fear everything that is outside of their comfortable, little bubble. It's why they want to go back to the "good old days," where white, heterosexual, Christians males decided everything. They are terrified of change. They are terrified of "The Other," whether it's brown people, non-Christians, educated people, gays, liberals, intelligent women... I doubt most of them even have a passport, let alone having traveled anywhere outside the country. Hell. I know a number of them who haven't ever ventured outside of the Southeast, let alone to Mexico, Canada, Europe.... The republicans have been playing on their fears for decades, and they're doing it on steroids now.

They stay in their little bubble. These are people who live an hour from Disney World - but who have never been that far away from home in three generations. No wider they have a limited view of the world since they are so limited in their lives.

They are projecting, as wingnuts are wont to do. They think black folks want to take revenge for their ancestors being enslaved, because that is what THEY would do if they were in those shoes. They can't comprehend that not everyone thinks the way they do. It's the same reason that they assume everyone they meet is a Christian, and that all white folks are republicans. They are always shocked when they find out that I, a white person, am neither.

I wonder WTF is wrong with white people? I'm one of them and I don't get it.

But, there is a positive here. The racism (and all the other hateful "isms&quot are out in the open. That is the one thing That Orange Thing has given us. These people feel free to show their true faces. We can not forget this, we can not ever forget who they really are.

It isn't nice or comfortable to know this, to see it, but it is better to know what they are than not.

Oh, and it reminded us that white evangelicals are, generally speaking, hate-filled people who are afraid of losing their privilege. I see this in action every time I go to a family gathering. My teenagers see it now too and are disgusted by it.

These are the same cultists who believe (and say) shit like “Hitler was God-sent.” This is 2018, for chrissakes, NOT 1919.

The less that U.S. citizens know, the easier they fall for manipulation via superstition and magical thinking. How far-fucking-racist-and-spiteful can we go? I think we’ll be finding out soon, with the Stable Genius in charge.
