Was the New Deal Under FDR American style socialism? If so, Then I believe in American socialism.

It worked. It brought fairness to America. We won WWII under the New Deal economics. It led to the GI bill. It led to the creation of the greatest middle class in history.

It supported unions, It put in place social security. For the first time in American history we all chipped in to take care of our senior citizens. We used the government to take care of each other. Now we are using the government to fuck each other over.

Yeah, let's just insist on a term received overwhelmingly negatively by Americans. That is a great strategy.
