FDR taught the American people the Government can make their lives better.

Starting with Reagan the Republicans have taught the American people the Government is the enemy. The Democrats need to run on that issue. The government is what the people make of it.

Especially among working people influenced by RW propaganda in the media and driven by major ultra conservative special interests. The generations before me worked to strengthen this country, and it's democratic principles and governance which are being seriously challenged now.
