It seems that almost zero time passes before the orange creature does something wackier than he did moments before.
He's totally uncontrolled (except by Putin) and is going to do anything and everything he feels like doing on a whim.
The damage he's done to date will take many years to repair. But let's not forget his "Big Button." He can literally destroy the world.
If we make it to election day, the Republicans must pay heavily for allowing this insanity to continue unchecked. Hopefully, we will see a big enough blue wave to virtually destroy the Republican Party.

(16,926 posts)First, of course, he IS insane.
Second, the Pugs have done NOTHING to stop this insanity.
We MUST correct this come November.

(13,218 posts)That the republican's nature is to disclaim science and math, while they support all such things as religion, tea leaves, astrology, all forms of woo-woo... the list is endless consisting of made-up stuff, logic-free arguments, and all-in-all pretty stupid. Is it any wonder that they have done nothing nor will do nothing to top this insanity?

(15,035 posts)I truly believe that the Republican Party, as it exists today, is over. Done!
An opposition party is necessary in a democracy. And hopefully, whatever "moderate" people still exist somewhere in the Republican wilderness, will rebuild a new, sane, opposition party.
And, please, let whatever new party emerges, drop the Jeezuz, and "family values," and flag-waving crap.
They need to drop the bulk of their crazy ideas or in other words their "values".

(869 posts)I'd like to see the whole spectrum shift more to the left. Maybe a democratic and a green party?

(115,683 posts)He's panicking - and he's just throwing stuff against the wall, hoping something will stick. The Iran rant is classic wag-the-dog stuff, and I'm sure the Iranians know his spouting off is just an attempt to bait them. Trump's irrational flailing is aimed only at his "base," which is now a personality cult - but he doesn't seem to realize that the base is only about a third of the voters and not getting bigger.

(115,683 posts)As of last October, Gallup polling found that 31% of Americans identified as Democrats, 24% identified as Republicans, and 42% as independents. 88% of 24% is 21%, which is nothing to write home about and is about the same percentage as the dead-enders who still supported Nixon after Watergate.

(5,106 posts)Trump, on the other hand, lies about EVERYTHING, AND has broken the emoluments clause on a daily basis. Republican hypocrisy is bringing the country down hard. I despise Mitch McConnell even more than Trump, I think.

Renew Deal
(81,856 posts)Has done nothing to reign him in. I think people can accept that he won the electoral college and even that the Russians stole the election. What people will not be able to accept is his high approval ratings with republicans and the lack of action from the Republican Party. This makes the US look unstable and untrustworthy.
