In his old age, Sulla was ugly, with bad skin and a worse wig. So he and Trump have that in common.

(3,578 posts)Both men are known to have hung out with the base types in society. Sulla had his whores, mimes, and actors; Trump has Roger Stone, Jeff Epstein, and the Deplorables.
Both men are characterized by their vindictive behavior, although Trump has yet to draw up a proscription list or two (I'm sure he has a few names ready to go).
And both men defeated a political rival who was the expected, inevitable leader of their respective republics. Sulla had Marius, Trump had Hillary Clinton.
