Both men are known to have hung out with the base types in society. Sulla had his whores, mimes, and actors; Trump has Roger Stone, Jeff Epstein, and the Deplorables.

Both men are characterized by their vindictive behavior, although Trump has yet to draw up a proscription list or two (I'm sure he has a few names ready to go).

And both men defeated a political rival who was the expected, inevitable leader of their respective republics. Sulla had Marius, Trump had Hillary Clinton.
