Nobody has to answer. I just think it would be interesting to know who DUers' representatives are. If you're nervous about revealing something about your location, just don't reply. Those who reply will be sharing information about their representation, not their address.
Who is your House Representative? Just a name and party is all we need:
Mine is Betty McCollum, Minnesota District 4 in St. Paul and parts of Ramsey County, MN. She's a solid progressive Democrat (DFLer). She has represented her district since 2001. She is running again and will win without trouble. I have personally supported her in every election since 2004, when I moved to Minnesota. You can learn more about her here:

(24,324 posts)This is a HIGHLY repub gerrymandered district. Makes ABSOLUUTEELIE no sense.
The usual.
It is mostly a very republican rural area, some parts quite poor--- With a few towns and a several Buffalo suburbs. No attention whatsoever from the democratic national committees. They tend to focus more on districts that seem more winable.
And Collins hasn't unleashed his $$$$$$$$ yet.
But, stranger things have happened..
His democratic opponent is Nate McMurray. He is highly educated, sharp as a sashimi knife, studied at Xinhua University in Beijing and lived and worked for 18+ years in ROK. His wife is Korean.
I am sure Collins with pull out the racist and COMMIE CHINA cards any time now...

His father, Ben Lujan, was in the New Mexico state legislature from 1975 to 2012, and Ben Ray got elected to Congress based on family connection. My husband and I worked for one of the Dems running in the primary, who, unfortunately, did not prevail. There were 8 candidates in the Dem primary, and the vote got split too many ways. The woman we worked for won all the districts except the biggest one. The winner is a man, who was criticized for, among other things, never having voted in a primary himself. The Democratic primary is a five-candidate race that features former Health and Human Services Secretary Donna Shalala, state Rep. David Richardson, and former Knight Foundation Director Matt Haggman.
Nine candidates filed to run in the Republican primary, with the top candidates being former Miami-Dade County Commissioner Bruno Barreiro and broadcast journalist Maria Elvira Salazar.

(6,251 posts)He lost in the Republican primary to take on Joe Manchin (the "winner" is Patrick Morrisey, current WV Attorney General).
Come January, my rep will hopefully be Richard Ojeda. He's currently a WV state senator, retired Marine, and a big supporter of West Virginia teachers!
His competition is Carol Miller, a member of the WV house of delegates, is married to owner of one of the biggest car dealerships in the state. She doesn't know (or won't tell) what her stance will be on pretty much any issue, saying that she would have to see the bill first. Her family also owns tens of thousands of dollars of stock in big pharma companies. I think she's going to lose!

The district seems so conservative so it is great to see like minded voters step up for Foster.

(11,175 posts)Albio Sires, NJ-8.
As you'd guess from that history, he's not the most progressive guy on the block. For example, he opposed the Iran nuclear deal that Obama achieved.
This district has a Cook PVI of D+27 so we really ought to be doing better.
I'll hazard a guess that Sires is aware that his major vulnerability is on his left. In 2017, for the first time, he signed on as a cosponsor of the Conyers bill for single-payer (HR 676).

(205,161 posts)We had a record number of Democratic candidates lining up to run against her, finally have a nominee after the June 26th primary. She is very unpopular here so I'm optimistic. She doesn't publicize her schedule until after the fact since protesters often show up. Until 2015 we were NY-20, but we got redistricted.
