I really believe that the GOP has crossed the Rubicon. And they won't come back. They will settle for nothing less than GOP supported dictatorship. To believe that you can deal with the GOP on any level is folly. They are at war with the US and freedom itself.

ADDENDUM. What I am saying I realize is perhaps hyperbolic. But then you never know. I would not expect such a horrendous situation really. I just wonder how low and evil is how low an evil.

2. I'm seeing the same road ahead..

Trump would love to be able to execute "disloyal" traitors, just like his mentor Putin, and that North Korean guy with the bad haircut. And his cult would celebrate every step in the final solution.

3. That really would be the point of no return

Once he started, if Congress would let him (and McConnell just might), he would not stop. He would revert back to Stalin-era liquidations in both style and number. The USA would finally depart from the community of European-American standards and revert to those of Idi Amin or ISIS. I don't see it, but I'm keeping my German permanent residence permit with me at all times just in case.
