Shall we start calling this asshole "Coupon Cletus?" When are cops going to get sick of this and start arresting the bigot snowflakes?

(37,449 posts)if they scanned then they have to be valid. Gaming, really I'd say she's a smart consumer.
I'm beginning to think cops should be able to cite the bullshit callers for taking up their time.

(34,170 posts)he ignored her. Yeah, I'm sure he hates "couponers." I hope he gets fired. Heck, didn't TLC used to have a show devoted to "extreme couponers? Although, if I remember correctly, most of them were White.

I don't really like couponers because of the ones I know and that show. I can't imagine having 1 cashier open at a small DG and getting behind one of these loaded buggy trains

(25,911 posts)You do not call the cops on a couponer.

(2,857 posts)We don't know how many people were waiting to be checked out. The cops aren't always going to come in with their guns drawn, but ifor someone is refusing to leave your store you have a right to call for police to ask them to leave.

(2,857 posts)I know people that do it then sell what they get in their own "stores". They are pretty ticked when stores change the rules on them and I can see them getting in confrontations. Here is a recent article that sounds similar, but I think this lady is trying to use 2 coupons on the same product, a paper and a digital one from the way it sounds to me. You used to be able to use a mfg. coupon and a store coupon, but some places say only 1 coupon per item now and some even limit the number of something you can buy in one day..
I didn't see how this ended.

(6,831 posts)every 911 call must be responded to, but dispatchers can give them the lowest possible priority, which usually tips off the cops that it is a nuisance call. There is hope, though, as some cops have started arresting the callers.
This is a terrible abuse of the 911 system. There are real emergencies out there - life and death calls - that should be what the LEOs are responding to, not this nonsense. Remember, the Dispatcher answers each call with "Please state the nature of your emergency." That, in itself, should tip off these racist nincompoops that what they are reporting is NOT an emergency. Laws should start being passed, at the municipal level, to deal with this reprehensible waste of dispatchers and cops time.
Every police station has a non-emergency number. Find it. Remember it. Then behave accordingly.

(22,336 posts)That's another question worth asking IMO. White people extend grace to each other over all sorts of things but all of a sudden become huge rule followers when people of color do the same things.

(40,152 posts)He doesnt own Dollar General! It isnt costing him money and where is there a rule about how many coupons you can use!
I once had enough coupons that I got a a small kitchen appliance from Kohls for free. The clerk was happy for me!

(89,174 posts)it's just like getting money because the coupons are from product manufacturers and they give the store money back for the coupons.
but the guy was just so fucking resentful at the thought that a black woman was getting something "free" .
sarah FAILIN
(2,857 posts)You can't use multiple coupons on the same product unless they are getting reimbursed by different people. Someone below posted their coupon policy and what she was trying to do, use a mfg. coupon and a digital store coupon, is against their policy.

(2,857 posts) Only one Manufacturer Coupon and one Dollar General Coupon can be used per item in a transaction. Stacking of 2 or more Manufacturer Coupons per item is not allowed.
They have printed DG coupons that you can stack that you get when you checked out in the past, but usually not digital coupons since they say they are considered mfg. Coupons.

(30,540 posts)trying to pull some scam with counterfeit coupons they had to call the manager and security. The scams people will pull just to get stuff then they end up in more trouble then the crap was worth.

(4,035 posts)Too many African Americans have been killed by cops for nothing more than carrying a cell phone/playing in a park/walking down the street/opening the door that you cannot deny that every time you call the cops on a black person you must be willing to risk them getting killed. White people who do not understand this are part of the problem and have not acknowledged the racism America is founded on. Calling the cops on a customer for being "difficult" (and would he have done it if the lady was white? I doubt it) carries completely different connotations depending on the skin color of the customer. If they're white - almost no danger of false arrest or death. If they're black - high danger of an extra-judicial death sentence.
Judge this asshole's actions not based on how you would feel standing behind this customer, but by whether you think her behavior deserves capital punishment for what she is doing. That is reality in the USA these days.

(58,724 posts)Caught on Tape: Extreme Couponing Turns Violent
The quest to save some money using coupons turned into a violent confrontation between an extreme couponer and the manager of a discount store.
Melissa Mozzo-Mart and Jennifer Hill were shopping at a Dollar Tree store in Germantown, Tenn., the day before Thanksgiving when they say they apparently brought too many coupons for the store to handle.
"We were told we were harassing her (the store manager) to use those coupons and she threatened to call the cops," Hill said.
The store had posted a large sign on its windows that it was now accepting coupons.

In fact, they have even been physically attacked (as in the above story).
sarah FAILIN
(2,857 posts)They were physically hit by a manager. The other lady just had the cops called and the store manager was within his rights to call them.
