(8,200 posts)I don't know how much longer this dysfunctional, lawless, dictatorial executive brand of the government can be tolerated? The legitimacy of the election of the president was accomplished by the aid of a foreign power that has avowed to destroy our nation and subjugate it as it sought to do throughout its history. The very allegiance of the president is in serious doubt. It has been concluded by those with extensive knowledge that he has been either compromised to do their bidding or even more seriously is conspiring to transform the presidency into an authoritarian office with absolute power over the legislative and judiciary. In effect creating a police state and nullifying every article of the constitution. Any objective appraisal must conclude that the executive branch of the government is under the control of a irrational, vindictive despotic moron with a cabinet of brainless bootlicking syncopates to do his bidding. God help America.

(58,785 posts)few Republican invertebrate betrayers who've discovered vestigial spines and stumbled over long-discarded moral codes only after deciding not to run for reelection.
Still applaud the truth she speaks. It's possible she might not have done it had she believed Republicans would dominate DC until 2020 but also possible she'd have walked no matter what.

In the interest of "fighting terrorism" we have constructed our own Gestapo.

(15,532 posts)especially the name - sounded so nazi Germany. I wish they would do away with it already. I remember when librarians were standing up to the requirement that they reveal what sorts of materials people were checking out. Does anyone really think it has been an effective use of taxpayer money? Once you create a new agency, it never goes away. But Americans were all caught up in the nationalistic fervor after 9/11.

There are certain efficiencies that happen when LEO and intel organizations work together, but the risk was real, and we're seeing the dark side of it TBS.

I hope she starts a tsunami of people that cripple that agency and get those children back where they belong.

(16,917 posts)that is my response - what a marvelous letter. Yet another person that could/should have the opportunity to serve our country - denied by terrible, mean-spirited and ill-thought leadership.
What a shame our country has become - nowhere near the "Make America Great Again" objective so fraudulently thrown about by IQ45 and his band of terrorists.

(5,012 posts)If anyone in the Trump administration had any morals or ethics or was capable of feeling shame they would have already left the administration. The only things these people care about are loss of power, loss of money, or loss of freedom (i.e., actual jail time).
