As soon as Trump announces he wants to speak in front of a nominally non-partisan organization, the Democrats should demand the opportunity to speak as well. Failure to honor that request is implicit endorsement of the Trump by that organization.
Someone like Ted Lieu would have been ideal for this setting.

(16,817 posts)He implied that he couldn't understand how any veteran could have supported Obama and how it was an outrage he was ever president...he went on to throw out a bunch of BS Alex Jonesland conspiracy shit and also a healthy dose of Fox News' "Obama ruined the VA Healthcare system" and "see how bad the VA is that's socialist medicine for you"...no amount of facts could sway him, everything I said was dismissed as "fake news".
As a combat veteran myself, I found my coworkers comments offensive, of note this guy never served a day in the military but somehow he thinks he's an expert on military medicine, and don't even get me started on Trump's BS rally today.
