Why didn't he serve? Why wasn't there an outcry to draft Donnie?

who were against the Vietnam War. It was term hurled at liberals by conservatives who backed that war.

Of course, that was before it became out-of-bounds to criticize the military and the troops, when we could still voice an opinion that wouldn’t be called “unpatriotic.”

He could have cared less how many of our boys were dying in an unjust war. His only concern was that he wasn't one of them.
