Were volunteering to give people a ride to vote. Were both taking personal days. But my wife has been in contact with local democrat HQ. And their in need of transportation so dam straight were on board. Im so psyched up as we all our over midterms.
Anything for the blue wave come November. We vote out the traitors and start checking kremlin 45. Ok thats all a ramble my wife filled me in this morning.

(6,908 posts)When I was a kid, Election Day in November was a national holiday. I have voted on every election, except one when my employer required me to work all day and night.
Eliminating a national voting holiday is to keep working people away from the voting booth.
And a National Election Day in modern times must include a provision requiring employers who operate that day to give time off to employees for voting.

(62,387 posts)I know early voting varies from state to state, but we really push for early voting here (Iowa). That way just in case something comes up on voting day - I once found myself on a sudden business trip for instance - then you don't miss out on voting.
Glad to hear there are people like you ready to help out. The voter you give a ride to may be the one that decides the election.
