I just got home for the hospital, had prostate cancer surgery, just healing up now.
Insurance bureaucracy calls, I spend a half-hour on the phone talking to insurance bureaucrat for nothing.
Yup, nothing. I don't want all these goodies they keep trying to get me on, I just want to rest here AT HOME without bureaucrats constantly calling me.

(51,590 posts)to call my health insur over bills that make no sense or 5,000 other screw-ups that they constantly do, year in and year out. When you are sick, in pain, etc that is the LAST thing you want to have to deal with. It is like twisting the knife. I think they do it on purpose...to get more money out of you while your resistance is down. Bastards!

It isn't worth the risk of setting off the outrage alarms. Everyone is operating on a hair trigger these days.

(5,524 posts)I suspect that a certain percentage just give up in frustration. It is money in the bank for them. Not to mention discouraging future use just to avoid the hassle.
I have found prescription coverage to be the worst lately. Caremark is making me pull my hair out.
