Why is this posted in GD? Yes, this is a comedian and talk show host so why does it have the broader appeal to warrant a GD post-- because this is an example of the evolution of #MeToo. The accusations were taken seriously, he was suspended pending full investigation and apparently Hardwick was considered cleared and reinstated months afterwards. For those of us wanting both accusations to be taken seriously, but also investigated, prior to serious consequences (yes, I am thinking Al Franken), I see this as an emerging and positive evolution, at least as far as Hollywood (and likely big business) is concerned.Chris Hardwick has a green light to return to hosting 'Talking Dead' after what AMC says was a thorough investigation into the sexual assault allegations made by his ex-girlfriend.
The network announced Wednesday Hardwick has been reinstated, and will be back to work on 'Dead' and "Talking with Chris Hardwick."
AMC adds ... "We take these matters very seriously and given the information available to us after a very careful review, including interviews with numerous individuals, we believe returning Chris to work is the appropriate step."
As we reported ... Hardwick's ex-girlfriend, Chloe Dykstra, accused him of emotional and sexual abuse during their relationship. Hardwick denied the allegations and insisted he broke things off with Dykstra in 2014 because she cheated on him.
Text messages obtained by TMZ appeared to show Chloe tried to reconcile with Chris months after their split.
