the first name of Florida Attorney General, Pam Bondi.
Why would they say that her name is unintelligible when anyone can hear it?
Does the taped discussion have anything to do with his donation of $25K to her A.G. re-election campaign at a time when she was considering whether to join a lawsuit against Trump University?
What are they trying to hide?

On Tuesday evening, CNN released an audio recording between Donald Trump and his former personal attorney Michael Cohen, in which the two discuss purchasing the story rights to an alleged affair between Playboy model Karen McDougal and then-candidate Trump.
The conversation happened in September 2016, right around the same time records surfaced showing a potential pay-to-play donation of $25,000 to Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi while she was considering joining a lawsuit based in New York against Trump University.
While the most damning part of Cohen's recording is clearly when Trump appears to instruct the lawyer to "pay in cash," it's worth noting that the recording also seems to strongly indicate the presidential candidate was talking to Bondi over the phone about the lawsuit with his embattled for-profit school.
Though the official transcript, released by Trump's legal team, doesn't outright mention the Florida Attorney General by name and instead says "Unintelligible," if you listen to the tape it's impossible not to hear "Pam."
Here's the transcript:

(7,947 posts)The CNN transcript first had it as "Babe", which I knew was wrong.
Then again, the Helsinki transcript pretty much cuts out the reporter's question, which none of us heard on the video, I guess they think.

(14,528 posts)traitor tot bought a manufacturing plant, filed bankruptcy, screwed an investor and bugged out of town. Leaving behind a toxic waste dump. Benedict Donald bought up the loans in bankruptcy, from Deutsche Bank, for pennies on the dollar and is now trying to get SC governor to use tax dollars for cleanup, because the courts said, nope. You are not an uninterested party, you are the previous owner's father.
Interestingly enough Manafort made payments to a management team in SC during the same time period. Just another coincidence?

(15,273 posts)interesting, too. You can only hear Trump's side of the conversation, but it piqued my curiosity who was on the other end and what Charleston was about.
The other interesting thing is that Trump Organization accountant, Allen Weisleberg (sp?), is now dragged into the investigation. Cohen talks about how he'll coordinate with Weisleberg on setting up the shell company as if this is something fairly routine. That would make Weisleberg clearly a co-conspirator with Cohen and Trump in any illegal activity related to this payment.Weisleberg has been the Trump accountant going back to the 70s and Fred Trump. He really knows where all the bodies are buried if prosecutors put the squeeze on him.
