I'm more inclined to worry about the damage a boat that size could have done if the current had taken it elsewhere.

It could have crushed much more modest boats owned by people who are definitely not Gigabucks Betsy. As it was, odds are she didn't own the dock.

Worse, it could have drifted off into the lake, where it would be a hazard to navigation, especially at night since it wouldn't have lights on. Potentially a nasty surprise for someone making a night run.

I hope the dumbasses who did this are caught. The one thing you can be certain of is that the one person who would not be injured or have to shell out money for damages is Betsy-poo.
