In November 2002, the voters of Fresno and Tulare counties sent to Capitol Hill a 29-year-old political neophyte named Devin Nunes.
What Nunes lacked in experience he made up for in brashness and energy. He was one of us, a salt-of-the-earth dairy farmer from Pixley who would represent our interests without sinking into the Washington cesspool.
Sixteen years later, our man Devin is chest-deep in muck. The supposed man of the people turned out to be just another pompous, entitled politician who barks at anyone who questions him.

I hope Janz kicks his ass to the curb in November.

(36,389 posts)And a poll a month ago showed Janz had closed the gap to eight points. Nunes has been cycling through the news a whole bunch of times. and not in a positive light, so one could assume the gap has closed even more.
I'm not predicting Janz will win, but I would not be surprised if the race was downgraded to "Toss up".

A perfect partner for Nunes.

(11,726 posts)He is a treasonous bastard who sneaks around in the middle of the night suborning treachery and helping a con man to conspire with foreign adversaries to interfere with our democratic processes.
Everyone who goes to Washington will become part of the culture in some way. Mr. Smith Goes to Washington was idealistic. The devil is in the degree. Nunes, as stated is not only chest deep, he is actively trying to defraud the American People.

(51,571 posts)the Dem resisters in his area should get some mega speakers on their cars and blast music at his home 24/7 until he goes even more insane. They blasted Guns and Roses and other bands at Noriega when he was holed up at his house in Panama and wouldn't come out. The music did the trick. I wonder which type of music would do the trick the fastest with Nunes? Apparently Noriega was not a fan of The Clash or The Doors. I would have enjoyed hearing that.

(19,187 posts)in the muck? The muck is up over Nunes' head, and has been for quite some time now. But those rascally Republicans love their politicians covered in muck. There's nothing that's too disgusting for Republicans these days, and they used to be the party of "family values", the "silent majority", and so superior to those "godless liberals". Now they're so dirty the pigs won't even associate with them anymore.
