That's how he rolls. The only way to get his ugly orange ass out of the WH is either by not re-electing him or through the fortuitous effects of a lot of cholesterol.

for the his many previous crimes of money laundering and bank fraud may have that kind of appeal to him. I think it's possible. Also there's the issue of his kids liabilities and those ramifications. Yes, deals are a very real possibility.

Mueller has the shit on Trump and knows how to use it. my.03 worth.

Can't you hear it. "You don't support the troops."

I speak to this as an Airborne Ranger veteran.

GOP billionaires built the disinformation media bus, and now they are surprised that a demagogue hijacked it.

Russia didn't have to do much - they just exploited the same trends the rightwing propaganda machine had created over decades.

Democrats are behind the 8 ball because the M$M controls the narrative. The biggest lie that the M$M puts out there is that the media is liberal.

As Dems, we need to focus on media OWNERSHIP. Which more often identifies the true conservative lean.

WSJ: owned by Trumpite billionaire.
Fox: owned by Trumpite billionaire.
Sinclair: owned by Trumpite billionaire.
The Hill: owned by Trumpite billionaire.
CNN, MSNBC: owned by profit-seeking, right-leaning corporations
iHeartRadio (Limbaugh, etc.): run by conservative execs.

Whenever you hear something about media bias - turn it right around and talk about ownership. Ask them about Rupert Murdoch and his handpicked editors/CEOs at WSJ and Fox.
etc.

He knows he can use the powers of the Presidency to protect himself from justice. I don't care if we get to 2020 and his approval rating is 10% he will try to get reelected he will be that desperate.

Neither of them trust anyone but themselves. In Putin’s case he won’t give up power because he doesn’t believe the next guy will protect him from physical harm. He’s made a lot of enemies and justice in Russia is often bloody. in Trump’s case it’s fear of prison. For that reason I think he only leaves kicking and screaming. But I’d rather you be right on this one.

We'd be left with the same GOP Congress & President Pence, all of whom worked with Russia to put us where we are today.

And Russia will see that he wins, if he gives Putin the things Putin wants.

He doesn't care if the citizens think (or know) that he a mobster who is corrupt to his core and who is letting Russia gradually destroy our democracy. He will never give up power.

I see only one scenario. Which is that the most powerful Republicans in the House & Senate go to him, like they did Nixon, and explain that they will impeach him, or he can save face and resign.

I suppose there is the scenario where a criminal indictment is filed for any of various crimes. But he'll stay in office while that heads to the S.Ct., where Kavanaugh and other Republicans will vote that the President can't be indicted.

I don't see this group of Republicans ever reading Trump the riot act. They're scared of him. They need him for votes. They need him to sign their bills that give them more money.
